My veterinary journey began like so many of my peers with on the job training and the burning desire to help our furry family members. An eight year mentorship under the direct supervision of a board certified radiologist instilled an enthusiasm for proactive imaging and the importance of creating an environment rich in training and collaboration. I carried that energy with me as a hospital manager and witnessed how radiology training can improve patient care, medical team efficiency as well as hospital profits. I am now living my dream as a veterinary sonographer that allows me the flexibility to train on conference or clinic level and I couldn't be happier!
Born and raised in Georgia, I also lived in Florida much of my 20's so I share a passion for the beach and mountains equally. I love adventure am excited about my new life in North Carolina where mountains are abundant and a new coast is a short drive away.
I genuinely enjoy empowering Veterinary Nurses and encourage all to seek out licensure as our profession is dependent on medically trained support staff. Passion gets us started but education is what moves the industry forward.
